Part II: The Drive Along the Pacific Coast

After Mary literally dragged me back into the car in Yosemite because I was sure there were still more photos to be taken, we travelled west to connect with the Pacific Coast. The change in landscape, temp, and scenery was dramatic.

Half Moon Bay

Just ten miles away the sun was shining and it was a blue sky surrounding this small town south of San Franscisco. Half Moon Bay was my first introduction to the northern California coast and it sure was different than anything I've seen on eastern shores like the Outer Banks.
This is an upscale golf club setting. It actually had the one thing that made it feel like a stroll in Scotland--bagpipes playing in the distance.
